Betty is a third generation business owner in Quincy. Her great-grandfather, J.P. Wenzel, founded Wenzel-Keller Wagon Company in the late 1800's. Betty's father, Hubert "Hub" Wenzel owned and operated a radio and TV and later appliance retail and repair store. In the late 1980's Betty combined her passion for making crafts and her family tradition of business ownership and started Gifts by Grawe out of her family home on Harrison Street. Quickly friends and neighbors spread the word about the beautiful creations that she was making. Out growing her family house, Betty expanded into commercial retail space. With changing consumer tastes over time, Betty stopped making her own products and expanded into more gifts, home decor, memorials, Luxcraft Poly Furniture, and more. Everyone who stops in are amazed at the variety of our offerings. After several moves, now located in an historical house at 3616 Maine St. which now she lives on the upper level, thus coming full circle to living where her home and business are in the same house.
